  • Pregnant women must sleep on their side, it is also best to combine it with pillow between the knees to avoid the pressure from the lower back. Pregnancy wedges or body pillows are helpful too.
  • If your job requires sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours make sure that your workstation is ergonomically correct. Talk to your doctor of chiropractic to give you some advice on how you can avoid pain and discomfort while working.

Nutrition

  • For pregnant women, three large meals for a day aren’t ideal because it can make you hungrier and may experience nausea. Instead, eat small meals and snacks for several times a day. Yogurt and crackers are essential foods for snacks because they have protein and carbohydrates.
  • Folic acid is very important that pregnant should take up to 400 mcg a day. In fact women who aim to get pregnant must also take folic acid supplements. This supplement can reduce the risk of neutral tube birth defects like spina bifida. In addition, before you take these supplements or vitamins, be sure to consult your physician.
